Cajun tuna pasta

By Dave · Dinners · 14th March 2026 A simple but tasty warm pasta salad that even the kids like.

Ingredients

  • 4 tuna steaks (raw)
  • Cajun spice mix
  • 200g feta cheese
  • Jar of green olives
  • 200g baby leaf spinach
  • 500g pasta
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • White wine vinegar
  • Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper

Method

  1. Lay out the tuna steaks and coat in olive oil followed by cajun spice
  2. Cook the pasta
  3. When the pasta has about 6 minutes left, grill the tuna steak for around 3m on each side. It should be a little pink in the middle and the total time will depend on the thickness of the tuna
  4. Dice the feta into roughly 1cm cubes along with the cooked tuna
  5. Create a dressing by mixing extra virgin olive oil, salt, pepper, vinegar, and mustard. Mix well
  6. Now to assemble ... drain the pasta and tip into a large bowl. Add all the ingredients and toss to combine. The heat of the pasta will wilt the spinach

Notes

This feeds 4 for our family. It's worth being fairly generous with the cajun spice.
